It was a sad start to the day for staff of Salon Dawn on Boundary Road, when they arrived at work to find their shop broken into.
Brazen thieves threw a brick through the shops window to gain entrance into it.
At the moment it’s too early to tell what has been stolen, but staff noted that hairdryers, straighteners and even the money box is missing.
Thieves even lit a small fire in the shop to see what they were doing.
Half an hour after the matter had been reported, police had yet to attend to the scene,citing that they had no police vans to do so.
