Duo in court this morning in connection with murder of Glencoe man

Today's appearance is expected to be brief

A man and a woman, detained for the murder of a Glencoe man on Sunday, are to appear in the Glencoe Magistrate’s Court this morning.

The duo, who are related, were taken in for questioning after Daniel Pires (34) was stabbed in the neck and head outside his Schroeders Road house in Glenridge late on Sunday afternoon.  He was declared dead at the scene.

The Courier understands that the woman whom police took in for questioning has made a confession.  Today’s appearance is expected to be brief and they will be back in court tomorrow for a bail application.
