The service delivery protest in Mooi River has flared up again today.

A heavy police presence is at the scene close to Bruntville on the N3.

This morning, protestors set fire to debris causing an obstruction on the national road.

Since then, the situation has simmered down, according to a witness on scene who said that there were pockets of protestors on scene at the moment.

Motorists are advised to be cautious when travelling in this area.
