The case regarding a young woman who was stripped and beaten up, after being caught shoplifting at a local PEP store, seems to be running cold.
The whole ordeal was caught on video and the woman could be seen crying horrendously as she was being dragged around the shop by her hair and being beaten multiple times all over her body.
According to the young woman’s mother, they are still waiting to hear from the magistrate as to what measures will be taken or how the case will continue and they have been waiting for a long time now.
Three PEP staff members appeared in court last year but the matter seems to have since come to a halt.
“We had to leave court and the case was postponed due to them having not being able to play the video in court the last time we were there,” said this mother.
The young woman’s mother went on to say that she wished the court would get this matter over with as she felt that her daughter had suffered enough for her actions.
