The armed robbery that took place yesterday morning (March 22) left Ladysmith residents and shoppers in shock.
“It is alleged that four men entered the premises (OK Grocer), three of whom were armed with firearms,” said SAPS spokesperson Captain Charmaine Struwig.
The criminals gained entry by posing as normal customers, joining up with an accomplice who was waiting for them near the offices. CCTV footage shows an accomplice appearing to lead the robbers up the stairs towards the Cash Room.

The men held up staff members and took a large amount of cash. No shots were fired.
Police currently have leads and are investigating a case of business robbery.
No arrests have been made as yet.
