A water leak in Hyde Road has been a problem for residents for months on end.
Residents say the leak has been in existence since last year and has not stopped since then.
One resident said that uThukela has been out to try and fix the problem, yet the leak still continues even after everything was dug up.
Homeowners have said that the area around the leak has now turned into a mini swamp.
The ground has turned into muddy dirt, which is close to the road and also where a footpath is.

They say that people walk there and could easily fall in where it is full of mud and dirt. Hence the leak poses a risk to people who walk along Hyde Road on a regular basis.
Schoolchildren who use the road say they see water leaking and day-by-day, the leak gets bigger and bigger.
Residents of Hyde Road ask why the leak can’t be fixed once and for all; not every few months uThukela workers come out and do the job yet again.
