55-year-old woman arrested for possession of dagga near Ladysmith

The suspect was arrested by officers from Ladysmith Crime Prevention, with assistance from Ladysmith Crime Intelligence

During the early hours of Wednesday morning (March 29), a woman was arrested for being in possession of dagga.

The 55-year-old woman was arrested in Steadville, in the J-Section area, near Ladysmith.

She was found to be in possession of bags and containers of dagga.

The drugs weighed in at 98kg and has an estimated street value of around R150,000.

She has appeared in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court, facing charges of being in possession of dagga.
