An intelligence-driven operation in the Upper Tugela area on Friday (March 31) resulted in a major dagga haul.
A team of police officers comprising the Ladysmith K9 Unit, Upper Tugela SAPS as well as Uthukela Crime Intelligence Gathering Unit pounced on a residence in the Ngoba area of Upper Tugela, where they found a 36-year-old woman in possession of dagga.

The dagga weighs about 750kg with an estimated street value of a whopping R1.5 million.
The suspect appeared in the Bergville Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
