Traffic officers are at the Umbulwane road turn-off, directing motorists onto that road as an alternative route.

The road is completely blocked with rocks, leaving people having to walk

Residents of St Chad’s, in the 2000 area, were protesting about electricity, demanding that the municipality installs electricity for them.

When a journalist arrived at the scene, the protesters were nowhere to be seen, but they made sure the road was not usable at all.

Police were also at the scene, standing by in case of an emergency.
