A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged for the rape of a 68-year-old woman at Mbabane Farm, Dannhauser.
The 68-year-old woman told police that she was asleep on the night of March 3 when the man forced his way into her room and got onto her bed.
He then strangled her and instructed her not to scream for help.
He then raped her, before falling asleep next to her.
When she took a look at him, she realised that he was well known in the area.
After he left, she contacted the police who soon arrested him.
