With Second Avenue being a busy street, parents fear that they, as well as their children, will catch serious illnesses which the municipality will not take responsibility for.

“This is a deadly health hazard for us and our children, and is totally unacceptable. How can the municipality turn a blind eye to such a sensitive matter? This is no way for people to live and our children are not supposed to be exposed to such disgusting things,” said a concerned resident and parent.

Residents also say that the very same sewer has been giving them problems for years, and all the municipality does is repair it rather than installing new equipment.
