Estcourt Hospital staff provided awareness about malnutrition.

On Wednesday at Nyezane, Loskop 370 members of the community attended the Malnutrition Awareness event put together by Estcourt Hospital dieticians, maternity and paediatric ward staff as well as clinic staff.

The purpose of this health education initiative was to enlighten the public on severe and acute malnutrition issues and its contributing factors such as HIV, tuberculosis, herbal intoxication and dehydration.

The day ended with a rice and high protein dhall-based meal from Food for Life and fruit sponsored by various Estcourt Hospital staff members.

The children enjoy a nutritious meal sponsored by Food for Life.
