Car thief sentenced to 4 years’ imprisonment in Ladysmith

Investigations revealed that the vehicle had been stolen in Brixton

Sanele Sifiso Mkhonza (22) recently stood trial in the Ladysmith Regional Court, where he was found guilty of car theft.

During November last year, Mkhonza was found in possession of a stolen Toyota Tazz. He was driving the vehicle in the Ladysmith area.

Investigations revealed that the vehicle had been stolen in Brixton, Johannesburg, two days prior.

He was arrested and charged for theft.

He was found guilty in court and sentenced to four years’ imprisonment.

Constable PPS Dlamini was the arresting officer as well as the investigating officer in the case.
