Pep store assault fuels Twitter rage

Countless calls for action to be taken against the Pep staff members who stripped and beat up a teen in 2012 has culminated in the #BoycottPepstores campaign.

TWITTER was fuming last week after most users were exposed to the video of the young woman who was assaulted at a local Pep Store for the first time.

There were countless calls for action to be taken against the Pep staff members who stripped, beat up and recorded Sphesihle Khoza back in 2012 and this is how the #BoycottPepstores ensued.

Twitter users shared their views and many seemed to feel sorry for the young woman whom, they said, did not deserve such drastic punishment.

It is unclear as to what is going to happen from now but, with the story having gained recognition from TV shows like Trending SA, there is hope that the case might finally be taken seriously.
