DANNHAUSER – A 45-year-old man was arrested for the possession of a firearm without a licence.
According to police reports, Constable B. Mavuso was investigating a robbery on April 16 that had happened at a supermarket in Dannhauser.
He received a tip-off that the suspect was hiding in a home.
When the house was searched, the suspect wasn’t there, but police found a pistol. The homeowner failed to produce a valid licence for the firearm and was arrested.
Investigation continues.
