Drakensberg Boys Choir School‘s very own horticulturist, Mr Bentley, took our grade seven class out last term, to plant their bean sprouts.

This was done at the school’s green house.

The boys take care planting their sprouts.

Some boys planted beans straight into the soil, while others who were able to keep their bean plants alive in their polystyrene cups moved them to the soil, for better nutrition and growth.

It’s time to bring those science experiments to life.

Mr Bentley’s love for plants has made the grade fours and grade sevens look at their plants as not just science experiments, but as something they can keep alive and hopefully they will come back to Drakies years down the line and see their fully grown, productive plants.
