Newcastle 911 Community Policing forum members assisted a man who was seriously wounded after he was stabbed at a tavern on the corner of Voortrekker and Terminus street on Saturday, May 6 at around 6.30pm.
According to sources, the victim was robbed of his cellphone and an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect managed to escape the scene, and is still currently at large.
The victim was taken to hospital for further treatment.
