Public Safety officers involved in high-speed chase after biker in Ladysmith

The officer then gave chase to the fleeing biker

A biker was arrested this morning (May 18) in Ladysmith by Public Safety officers.

The biker was travelling at high speed, doing 103km/h in a 60km/h zone, and he failed to stop for officers conducting a speed trap in Short Street entering the CBD.

Officers gave chase, as the fleeing motorcyclist drove recklessly through the CBD.

The biker was apprehended at Spar by Public Safety officers.

He was arrested for excessive speed, reckless and negligent driving, and also failing to obey orders from a traffic officer.
