Watch: Combat Rifle Shooting Championships at Ladysmith shooting range

Both men and women took part, showing off their marksmanship skills

The annual Combat Rifle Shooting Championships took place on Friday and Saturday at the shooting range.

All provinces competed in the hotly-contested event over the weekend, with members of SANDF, SAPS, RTI and Correctional Services taking part.

Events included shooting at various distances at ‘still’ and ‘snapping’ targets. The latter is when the target goes up and down, and the officers must time the shot to the second in order to hit the target.

The sound of heavy gunfire could be heard from miles away throughout both days of the event.

Both men and women took part, showing off their marksmanship skills.
