After thorough investigation, police have confirmed that the truck found abandoned yesterday (May 23) in Dry Road was indeed hijacked.
There were no occupants in the truck when it was spotted by police.

It was discovered that the diesel in the tanker had been drained out.
A case of hijacking has been opened and detectives are currently investigating.
