Police are investigating a bag snatching incident that took place in the Ladysmith CBD yesterday (May 24).
At about 10am, a 31-year-old woman was walking along Murchison Street when she realised someone was trying to cut the strap of her laptop bag.

She tried to hold onto the bag, but two men grabbed it away from her and fled.
An appeal is made for members of the community to be vigilant of their surroundings when in the CBD. Should you notice anyone acting suspiciously or get the impression someone is following you or giving you unnecessary attention, enter the nearest store and report the suspicious person or activity to police.
When going to town, try not to carry anything valuable around with you. Whenever possible, only carry as much cash as you need for the day and nothing more.
