Granny’s body stolen from cemetery in Dannhauser

The body was stolen 14 years after the granny was buried

It has been a traumatic time for a family after they received news that their grandmothers body was stolen from a cemetery, 14 years after her funeral.

Mr Thwala of Osizweni received a call by a family member who told him that their grannies grave had been tampered with.

The granny had been buried at Nkosibomvu (Allen Farm) graveyard in 2003. When he went to check, he found that the body and coffin had been removed.

All that had been left was a blanket that she was buried with.

The family told police that they last visited the grave on Good Friday, April 14. Anyone with any information is urged to please contact the Dannhauser police on 034 621 6500.
