Update: Baby girl strangled to death with cable tie in Ladysmith

“How can someone be so heartless and cruel?” That’s one of the many comments that poured onto our media sites after hearing the news of a baby girl that been strangled to death with a cable tie and dumped at the dump yard on Wednesday.

According to police, they are investigating a case of murder.

The baby was a newborn. Anyone who can help police identify the baby’s mother is requested to contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Dave Warmenhoven at Ladysmith Detective Services or they can contact the Ladysmith Service Centre on 0366383348/40/50. Alternatively, 101111  can be used or Crime Stop on 0860010111.

This is the second reported case of a baby found dead and dumped at the dump site this year.
