15 people appeared in the Bergville Magistrate’s Court yesterday morning (Monday, May 29) after having been arrested for public violence.
On Thursday, a group of around 150 people blockaded a road at Greenpoint, Bergville, using burning tyres and large stones.
The road was inaccessible to road users.

Police were called in and 15 people were arrested on public violence charges.
The suspects are 11 males aged between 19 and 47 years old, and four females aged between 29 and 41 years old.
