Ladysmith: So you want to be in a movie? Well, you can!
For 15 lucky Chinese locals, a South African studio is looking to hire extras for a movie to be filmed

The producers of an Afrikaans movie ‘Die Stropers’, currently in production, are desperately looking for 15 to 20 Chinese nationals to help flesh out scenes they will be filming locally near Ladysmith.
The one scene involves a mini-China Town setting and the other a seedy nightclub. The 15 or so extras will have the opportunity of featuring in a scene as background characters. No acting experience is needed.
All you need do is submit a selfie photo and your contact details to Trevor Latimor at his email: trevor@trxn.co.za
Filming will start in about two weeks.
You can spend a day of fun on the set of the movie, watching how it all works and maybe feature in a full-length feature film.
The producers have stressed that nobody will be paid.
A basic synopsis of the movie is that it is about a couple who rescue street children… More we cannot say, but you might get the chance to meet some really famous South African movie and TV stars.
