School children injured in early morning taxi crash
Disturbingly, traffic officers reported that the taxi had been taken off the road only on Monday after it was deemed to be unroadworthy

Seven school children and a driver are in hospital after the taxi they were travelling in was involved in an early morning collision on the Dundee/Nquthu road.
Disturbingly, traffic officers reported that the taxi had been taken off the road only on Monday after it was deemed to be unroadworthy.
However, the vehicle’s registration number had been changed from NDH to NDE and this morning it was again transporting school children.
Traffic Officers said the taxi driver had exited from a farm road on to the main road in misty conditions and was hit by an oncoming bakkie. Traffic officers and paramedics were on the scene to take the injured to hospital and clear the accident scene.
An investigation is continuing.
