IEC learners spread some love at children’s home
The children were treated to a delicious meal of burgers and chips, and a snack hamper
Islamic Educational Centre (IEC) learners, together with educators and Shura members, visited Ikhayalethu Children’s Home last Saturday.
Learners were taken out on an Islamic mission and social outreach programme.
Educators Mr AA Moola, Mr I Whiscals, Mrs Z Jhetam and Mrs Z Bhaijee – assisted by Dr MI Mulla (Deputy Ameer), Fathima Mulla, S Jethtam (Shura member) and Mr D Bhaijee (administrator) – oversaw the project and made sure everything went smoothly.
Love and laughter abounded as the IEC learners interacted with the children and also visited their rooms.
Thereafter, the children were treated to a delicious meal of burgers and chips, and a snack hamper. For most of the IEC learners who spent the day at the home, it was certainly an eye-opener.
“On behalf of the school and principal, I would like to thank all the sponsors for making this project possible,” said administrator Mr D Bhaijee.
