He was taken away from his mum at two months old
Imagine growing up your whole life thinking that the woman who raised you was actually your mum, when in fact she wasn’t.
That’s the reality that Mervyn Reddy faces.
Mr Reddy, now 62 years old, recently discovered that the woman who raised him is not his real mother. His birth mother actually resides in Dundee and is searching for him. He believes that his mum could be around 85-years-old and is desperately searching for her before it’s too late.
Mr Reddy recently was told by a resident that his father, Nandiah Kumaran Reddy, who went by the name Bobby, took him away from his mother at two months old. He was then brought up in Durban with his father and his father’s wife.
Mr Reddy is now desperately searching for his birth mother and siblings, who he understands are looking for him too.
