Identifying suspicious behaviour

Look out for unusual behaviour patterns that may appear to be normal, such as people taking photos or videos at non-tourist sites, or people observing particular sites and taking down notes. People looking at a site and talking on a cellphone or pacing off distances can also be an indication that suspicious activity is afoot.
Vehicles parked with passengers can be considered suspicious and deliberate attempts at entering premises at areas aside from gates and people observing or climbing on perimeter fencing, walls, etc.

Over and above all of these indications, trust your gut. If you have a sense, supported by above detection, that you are under surveillance, report it to the authorities or Vryheid Neighbourhood Watch.
