Motorist arrested for clocking 204km/h near Ladysmith

The driver was travelling northbound on the N11

A motorist was arrested on Sunday morning (June 18) for driving well over the speed limit on the N11 in the Elandslaagte area.

The man was caught driving at a speed of 204km/h in a 100km/h zone.

He was caught doing “twice the speed limit” by RTI officers conducting speed enforcement operations and was then arrested by Elandslaagte police.

The driver was travelling northbound on the N11.

He is set to appear in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court today (June 19), facing charges of exceeding the speed limit.
