Sam-Lyn Edu-Centre have spread their wings to support another rural school near Weenen. Kopleegte Primary School Governing Body met their supporters two weeks ago and planned a way forward.
The staff from Sam-Lyn Edu Centre visit the school regularly and as well as mentoring, they support teachers and are helping set up a library.

The Principal, Mr Mbona, has a vision for the school and along with Sam-Lyn and now Treverton Prep, they hope to make their school a centre of influence in the area.
After an extremely successful collection of Easter eggs for the children of Kolpeegte School last term, the grade six class from Treverton Prep have committed to be involved with the grade six learners from Kopleegte in helping to achieve the school’s vision.
On June 20 the grade six class from Treverton Prep as well as parents and new friends of Kopleegte School were part of a work party to begin the partnership along with the staff from Sam-Lyn Edu Centre.

What an amazing morning as the children and adults worked together painting, planting and processing books. Amidst great fun and excitement a huge amount was achieved.
The school now boasts an entrance garden and the beginnings of a library in a freshly painted room!
A huge thanks to the Principal, grade six educators and grade six class from Treverton Prep for all their hard work and to parents who got stuck in and also gave donations, we are extremely grateful! May Kopleegte School grow from strength to strength!
