The second adventure the DJS club undertook was a camp in St Lucia. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. At night a leopard drank water from the swimming pool. There were two awesome facilitators who reminded us how important values are: respect, discipline, responsibility and perseverance. We walked about 10km in a game reserve where we saw zebra, duiker, warthogs, water buck, spring buck and lots more. They were very close to us. Some of us were treated to a boat cruise on the lake. Herds of hippopotamus with their babies were spotted as well as crocodiles lying in the sun on the banks of the lake, fish eagles and big lizards. We did a fitness test on the beach and an obstacle course at the camp. It was an awesome camp!
