Royal awards for Landbou!

ROYAL awards at the Royal Show was exactly what our Ossies once again have achieved on the weekend of May 27 in Pietermaritzburg.

This would not be possible without our proud supporters. Thank you for everything that you helped us with. A big thank you to Mr Anton van der Schyff for all your time and effort you have put into these learners and their ossies to help them achieved these royal results: 2nd place for our group of Bonsmaras; 2nd place for our Halter Trained Steer (400-450kg); 1st and 2nd place for our Halter Trained Steer (450kg+); 3rd place: Best Cross Breed 1–Mziwenhlanhla Ngwenya; 1st place: Best Cross Breed 2 – Sithenjwa Mhlongo; 2nd place: Best Cross Breed 2 – Bongo Nkosi; 3rd place: Showmanship Senior Beef 2 – Njabulo Banda; 1st place: Showmanship Senior Beef 3 – NdumisoNgema; 2nd place: Showmanship Senior Beef 3 – Bongo Nkosi; Showmanship Senior Beef 3 – Sithenjwa Mhlongo; 2nd place: Best Senior Showman – Ndumiso Ngema; 3rd place: Best Senior Showman – Bongo Nkosi.

Landbou also won the shield this year for the best group of three: Showmanship!

Congratulations to this group of great and talented young learners with these royal achievements. You make us proud and ensure that tall trees are even growing taller.

The greatest achievement was that Landbou was the only institution which competed with our own bred animals!

The half-year examination is finished and a long deserved holiday is ahead of us. Our Winter School for our grade 12 learners will start on July 4 till July 9. Extra classes will be given to them to help them prepare for their final examination. The timetable is available from the school.
