Land service in a unique activity at Landbou School
The main principles that land service stand for are: Love for God our Creator; Love for my fellow human being; Love for my environment and Love for labour.
THE land service at Landbou School is also one of our unique activities that is growing our learners to greatness!
With the helpful hand of Mrs Linda Pieters; Miss Jonél Stuart and Mr Dennis Sangweni, our land service is always involved in reaching out to the communities where there is a need to enable our learners to grow as ambassadors for our school as well as become ambassadors in different communities that they come from. Fellow members had the opportunity on June 20, to visit Zamangothando High School. The school is situated in the countryside near Mondlo. As an initiative, Landbou donated old textbooks to the school. The main principles that land service stand for are: Love for God our Creator; love for my fellow human being, love for my environment and love for labour. In this regard we would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff and learners that made us feel welcome during our visit.
During the school holiday, 11 of our learners, accompanied by Mr Dennis and Miss Jonél, are attending the provincial land service camp at Sweetdale near Margate. May all of you enjoy it!

Our four rugby players will be playing their tournaments this holiday. Ndumiso Ngema, who was chosen for the u/18 KZN Country District team, will be playing in Johannesburg, Abongile Buthelezi, who was chosen for the u/19 NKZN team, will be playing in Reitz, Nhlakaniphani Gwala, who was chosen for the u/16 NKZN will be playing in Frankfort and Bongokuhle Nkosi, who was chosen for the u/19 NKZN team will be playing in Potchefstroom. Grow tall trees, boys!
Congratulations to Miss Sunél Fourie, who received her degree at the University of the Free State on June 20. We are proud to have you as part of the Landbou team!
On that note, we are sad to say goodbye to Mrs Liezel Vrey. God bless you and your family in your new ‘town’ journey.
