Residents and business owners in Quality Street, Leonardsville, say there is no “quality” at all in that street.
Residents feel they are being neglected by the municipality, as they face numerous problems that are not being sorted out.
“Quality Street is filled with potholes and sewer leaks. This affects businesses and residents alike. You have a foul stench in the air and potholes on the ground that damage people’s cars,” said IFP Councillor L Bhoobun.

A sewer leak in front of Quality Lifestyle Centre has business owners and customers furious with the municipality, as the matter was reported and nothing has been done about it.
“This is affecting our business really badly. A takeaway food business is supposed to already be open, but the owners refuse to start up because they deal with food. They say people will not buy from them because of the foul stench,” said the angry management of Quality Lifestyle Centre.
They urge the municipality to resolve all the issues they face in the street, as Quality Lifestyle Centre will bring business and entertainment to the community.
