The Ngubane family is broken. The family has been torn apart by the devastating murder of Bhuthi Sithembiso Ngubane, a child, brother and father.
The 29-year-old’s severely assaulted body was found on July 2 at a home in Mooi River. Mr Ngubane was working at a fast food outlet in Mooi River and his family members are living in Estcourt.
The Ngubane family learnt of the tragic news on July 2 and described that Mr Ngubane’s head and face were so badly injured that a fist could fit into the punctures inflicted by the murder weapon. “We are so heart sore that our child was killed this way. It is a terrible thing for a family to go through,” said the emotional family.
They described Mr Ngubane as a humble, good person who was always laughing.
“He loved his parents, his siblings and his three children,” said Mrs Ngubane.
The 29-year-old was born and lived in Mooi River and often visited his family in Estcourt on his days off. Mr Ngubane was laid to rest on Saturday. He is survived by his parents, siblings and three children. Police have confirmed that a case of murder has been opened and is being investigated by Mooi River police.

“The motive for the killing is unknown. Four suspects, aged between 30 and 38, were arrested for murder and appeared in court on July 5, commented police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbhele.
