Wheel thieves come out of retirement
The theft of wheels is causing motorists great distress

A new-round of theft of vehicle wheels has started in Dundee. The plague hit the town some years ago, causing great discomfort for motorists who were left wheel-less
Two wheels were stolen from a bakkie parked outside the Donga Club, adjacent to the Bowling Club, last night.
The vehicle’s owner was shocked to find his bakkie left on one jack, placed neatly under the right hand side of his bakkie. The two right-hand side tyres had been stolen. The police were called to the scene and an investigation is underway.
A similar theft was reported in the early hours of last Sunday morning, at about 2.30am, when the back wheels of a vehicle were stolen from Ann Street. The tyres were said to be valued at R10 000. Motorists are urged to be vigilant at all times.
