The ‘Your Child Is My Child’ schools initiative programme donated 106 school shoes to learners at Lokothwayo Combined School in eMachibini on Monday.
This is an initiative started last year by Mr Thokozani Ntuli, Miss Londiwe Mthethwa and Miss Bongiwe Mthethwa, with the aim of uplifting the lives of learners who are less fortunate than others.
Miss Londiwe Mthethwa said that the main reason they target schools is because education is the only key to success.
“We started this initiative last year when we visited Falethu Primary.
“So this time we decided to visit a school that is situated in a rural area and we managed to identify children in need of school shoes,” said Miss Mthethwa.
