Nquthu shopkeepers are counting the cost of a devastating blaze that ripped through at least seven shops on Sunday evening in the business area of the town. At least seven shots were gutted.
Witnesses said the fire started at about 7pm on Sunday.
Fire fighters from Nquthu battled throughout the night to contain the blaze.  The cause of the blaze was not immediately known.
