Legal advice, medical issues and the pros and cons of being a female in the entertainment industry were among some of the topics.

Women’s Month started off with a lot of energy as women gathered to celebrate their strengths at the Monte Vista Hall on Saturday, August 12.

The Women’s Arise Conference saw a large group of well respected female icons taking to the stage to address various issues affecting the female gender.

Legal advice, medical issues and the pros and cons of being a female in the entertainment industry were among some of the topics.

Thembi Sithole was pleased and believed the conference would become an annual event.

In her words, it was important for women to celebrate their strengths, goals, dreams and accomplishments.

Blessing the day were two female pastors namely Pastor Stella Phella and Event visionary and coordinator, Pastor Lindiwe Sithole.

As part of the event, a talk show was hosted, whereby hosts as well as guest speakers addressed all topics which affected women.

Legal advice was presented by Advocate Thembi Bokako, who gave women advice on marriage, divorce and matters concerning women’s rights.

After the formalities, a scrumptious three course meal was served for the women to relax and reflect on all they had learned.
