A video has recently surfaced of a hawker spraying insecticide on raw meat he’s selling on Victoria Street.
The hawker, who’s table is situated outside Pick ‘n Win, opposite the taxi rank, is seen spraying the meat, to keep flies at bay.
The meat, which is uncovered on a table, is sold to passers-by.
People in the area, said the man has been selling meat, from this spot, for over a year.
The Courier has since contacted the Traffic Department, whose responsibility it is to enforce by-laws.
The Health Department has also been contacted.
