Soul Buddyz called for a career expo to be held at Siphiwesamangwe Primary School last Thursday in the Emakekeni area of Loskop.
Various departments, the School Governing Body, local high schools, ward councillor and parents were invited to attend the program.
The aim of the event was for grade sevens to be informed of career options and hear from people in their field of interest about how they can get connected to bursaries, and what the availability of employment is like.
Other sound motivation and advice was imparted to the learners. In between each speaker, learners together with the Soul Buddyz recited poems and sang to entertain the crowd.
Most speakers echoed that in order to champion a brighter future the learners need to find good role models and stay true to their values and morals. Lunch was served to all who attended when the proceedings came to a close.
