Cellphone death threat as crime continues to rock town

A red and white bicycle valued R6 000 stolen from a store room at the Dundee Bowling Club

A Grey Street resident received a death threat call on her cellphone by an unknown person using an unfamiliar cellphone number.
The complainant was told that she would be killed and she immediately reported the matter to the police who are investigating

Money safe stolen from wardrobe
A safe was stolen from a house on Maybole when thieves broke in on the afternoon of August 18. Although the complainant told police he activated the alarm before leaving, when he returned to find the dining room window broken and two doors were opened. The safe from the wall inside the wardrobe was stolen.
A man robbed of phone, cash
A Mr Ngubane was robbed of his cellphone and cash, with a total value of R1 500 when he was accosted by three men who pointed a sharp instrument at him. The incident occurred in Beaconsfield Street next to the post office, at about 3pm on August 18.

Thusi Street homes hit by thieves
A TV, microwave, baby cushion and meat valued at R7 600 were stolen from a house on Thusi Street, Sibongile on August 18 at about 10pm. No arrests have been made. Hours earlier a cellphone and groceries valued at R1000 were stolen from a house just down the road.
R6000 bicycle stolen
A red and white bicycle valued R6 000 stolen from a store room at the Dundee Bowling Club. Thieves forced the door open on the afternoon of August 17.
