Update: Burning tyres removed from Murchison Street, with protesters still in the area

Motorists are urged to drive with caution past the scene

The tyres that were set alight by protesters earlier today (September 3) have been sprayed down and removed.

Traffic is currently moving along Murchison Street, but motorists should be wary about the debris left from the burnt tyres. Motorists are urged to drive with caution past the scene.

It is believed that the protesters are not happy with the leadership of the ANC and the way they are running things.
