Picket outside Hospital highlights alleged sexual abuse of female employees

Locals say the company hired to clean the hospital did not employ locals

Protestors gathered outside Dundee Hospital this morning to vent their anger over what they say is ‘unfairness related to the outsourcing of the cleaning of the facility to an outside company who has only hired people from outside the Dundee area’

At least two former female employees who spoke to the Courier claimed they had been sexually harassed by a supervisor from the same company in 2016 at the hospital premises.

Both were fired when they refused the supervisor’s advances for the second time.  One woman has registered a case with the Dundee Police.

Police monitored the protest but no incidents were reported.

The Department of Health has been asked to comment and their response will be published once received.
