Sixth man in human flesh-eating case arrested in Port Shepstone

The six men face charges ranging from murder to possession of human tissue

From Rensburgdrift to Loskop and now to Port Shepstone, police are closing in on suspects linked to the human flesh-eating case.

A sixth man was arrested on Wednesday evening. Police tracked him down in Izingolweni, Port Shepstone.

The 25-year-old appeared in court on Thursday and was remanded in custody.

“He will appear in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court on September 28 with the five other suspects,” said police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbhele.

The six men face charges ranging from murder to possession of human tissue. This came after one of the men confessed to police about eating human remains.

A gruesome discovery was later made at a home in Rensburgdrift, the human remains of a female. The case continues on September 28.
