Warning: Heatwave hits Ladysmith, showing that summer is here

The temperatures are set to be cooler at the end of the week

A heatwave has hit Ladysmith today (September 11), with temperatures in the high 30s.

Today’s maximum is set to rise to 37 degrees, with temperatures looking to be high for the next 2 days.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) will see temperatures in the mid 30s and the same for Wednesday.

With temperatures being so high, adults and children alike are advised to stay indoors and refrain from outdoor activities, as the heat can cause severe damage to the body.

Cooler conditions are forecast for the end of the week – around Thursday, Friday and into the weekend.

So stay indoors as much as possible and drink lots of water to keep your body hydrated.
