Newcastle Siva Subramanian Temple builds Lord Shiva Murthi

The Newcastle Siva Subramanian Temple is currently engaged in the building and installation of a six metre high Lord Shiva Murthi.

The project has progressed well and the base, on the temple premises, for the Murthi has been completed.

The Murthi is earnestly under construction by the contractor in Durban, with the anticipated completion date set for February 2018.

The temple embarked on a fund raising drive to help it accomplish this monumental goal.

“Our efforts rely on the support and contribution of all stakeholders in the community. Such a project will bring solace to the Hindu community at large and we believe that such an effort will be a torch bearer to our path of spiritual and cultural upliftment,” said Venash Singh from the temple.

The temple hosted an extremely successful dinner and dance on July 22, in a valiant effort to raise the funds for this project. The temple sent its sincerest gratitude to all those who were involved in the planning and executing of the function.

At the fund raising initiative, the Newcastle community opened their hearts and pockets, and together pledged a significant amount towards the project.

The Newcastle Siva Subramanian temple expresses their appreciation to all concerned for the support and generosity during the fund raising project. The project is well underway and this is only possible because of the thoughtful contributions of the devotees and Newcastle Hindu community at large.

The temple is extremely grateful for the pledges that have been honoured and money deposited into the temple banking account.

The temple would also use like to remind those who have not deposited their pledges as yet, to please do so at their earliest convenience.
