Sewage flows through Head Street property

The smell is so bad, it is not uncommon for her to wear a peg on her nose

Head Street resident, Linda Milne, has to wear a  peg on her nose when she is at home.  For over a decade, sewage has flowed through her property – although there have been attempts to stem this, the solution has always been temporary.

Now at her wit’s end, Linda videod the effluent that this morning was again running through and out of her property – complete with condoms.  The effluent has also bubbled up into the golf course, which is across the road from Linda’s house, making conditions unpleasant for golfers.

Umzinyathi District Municipality is aware of the problem and promised to send out workmen to attend to the problem.
