A house to be proud of

"We are very grateful to everyone involved... it is like a dream."

It was a dream come true for the de Oliveria family of Cornhill Street whose house has been refurbished thanks to Nobungani Build-It.
Miriam de Oliveria was encouraged by friends to enter the Sinawa competition which is hosted in conjunction with E-TV. After sifting through the entries, the adjudicators decided that her entry was the most deserving one locally. Kegan Speirs and his team from Nobungani and their contractors were sent in to put in a ceiling, paint and repair the roof and replace external and internal locks.
Now that the house is complete, butcher Fernando de Oliveria says he is proud that the home he and Miriam built, brick by brick, has been given a makeover.
“We are very grateful to everyone involved… it is like a dream. To think that we stayed in a caravan with our kids while we were building our house in around 2010…it is a great step forward.” he enthused.
